The Face Behind The Brand
Hi, I'm Elvira!
Owner and founder of ELVIE BAKES.
Elvira was born in Cameroon and moved to England in 2015 after successfully acquiring a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, to further pursue a Masters Degree in Corporate Finance. She now works as a Technical Project Manager for a global investment bank in London.
From a tender age, she has always been very creative, expressing this through drawing, DIY and sewing clothes for her dolls (At age 10, she strongly believed she would own a clothing line one day) haha!
Her passion for baking stemmed from making savoury pastries with her mom for parties as well as home consumption. It wasn't until 2012, when she attended a wedding and couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful the cake was.
She began researching, using platforms like google and YouTube to perfect the art of cake decorating. She has also developed her own cake recipes and scaling methods which are widely used by bakers all over the world.
Elvira loves challenges and is always creating new ideas and trends. In 2023, she invented the pregnant silhouette cake which gained worldwide recognition from the cake industry and beyond. Elvira has high standards for her business, and as a perfectionist, takes great pride in the quality of her work
